*This wasn't the way Mordecai wanted to return to this place. Standing amongst the dead adn dying trees of the Amaranth Woods, the elf was in shame of himself. He had told them all he would have news, word that he had been able to find a way into Naha's fortress and a way to bring the ruler of the Hollows down. Alas, he had not only failed both of those objectives, but had sustained severe injuries at the hands of a spy for the Hollows, a former Dark Ruler who had poisoned him and left him to die alone. Mordecai removed his ammulet and released the sword, which only he could do. Feeling his power, the guards stood down and bowed. Rolling his eyes, Mordecai stood them up and sent them back to patroling. It was several hours until morning adn he didn't feel like giving these guards a tip off on what he had to say. He had to see the Counciler of Amaranth first. He had to see Mendel*
